The accused, Professor Rajnish Kumar, had been on the run since the videos of the sexual assault went viral on social media. The videos of the assaults were shared with the police in a pen drive. The cops said that it is still to be ascertained how many female students fell prey to him.

Sources say that Kumar was seeking sexual favours from the students in exchange for good marks and to find a job from them.
