Ankita Bhandari Murder Case: Narco test may be conducted on the accused involved in the murder of 19-year-old Ankita Bhandari, the receptionist of a resort in Uttarakhand.
The Uttarakhand Police on Sunday said investigation into the Ankita Bhandari murder case involving an expelled BJP leader’s son is almost complete with just the Narco tests of the accused remaining.
“An application will be filed in the court for the narco test of Ankita’s killers, including the main accused Pulkit Arya. Things will be clear after the narco test is done. Our investigation is almost complete,” Chief Spokesperson of the Uttarakhand Police headquarters Additional Director General (ADG) V Murgeshan said addressing a press conference, as reported by news agency ANI.
What is Ankita Bhandari murder case?
Ankita Bhandari, a 19-year-old receptionist at a resort near Rishikesh in Uttarakhand, was allegedly murdered by the resort owner and his two accomplices.
The three accused, including Pulkit Arya, the owner of the resort, were arrested within 24 hours after the case was handed over to the regular police force from the revenue police on September 22, an official had said.
The accused had said that they had thrown Bhandari into the Chilla canal on September 18. Ankita’s body was found on September 24.
The main accused Pulkit Arya is the son of former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Vinod Arya. The party had expelled Vinod Arya from the BJP after Pulkit’s name surfaced in the case.
