Haryana Assembly Elections 2024: As Haryana’s Polls approach, former BJP MLA, Shashi Ranjan Parmar, burst into tears on Friday after being denied a party ticket in Haryana. In an interview with JNC News, Parmar admitted that his name was missing from the candidates list for the upcoming Haryana assembly elections. He had been hoping to represent the party from Bhiwani and Tosham.
Struggling to hold back his tears, Parmar said he thought his name would be on the candidates list. Despite the interviewer offering him words of comfort, the former MLA continued to express his anguish. ” Aap honsla rakhein, Netaji (please stay strong, Sir),” he said in Hindi.
Former MLA Questions The Fairness Of Decision
His distress was evident as he conveyed his helplessness about the future commitments he had made to his supporters. Parmar further questioned the fairness of the decision in a strained voice and expressed his deep disappointment towards it. The distressed MLA was heard saying, “What am I supposed to do now? I feel helpless.”

With the election date set for October 5 and vote counting on October 8, the deadlines for filing nominations are fast approaching. The last day to file is September 12, with scrutiny on September 13 and withdrawal of nominations allowed until September 16. The counting of votes for both Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir Assembly Polls will occur on October 8, following a revision of the original dates.
