According to a brand-new Money Control report, UIDAI is preparing to launch all these changes in a redesigned Aadhaar application. These new rules are being introduced to enhance the use of Aadhaar in everyday life while maintaining privacy protection for the users. If as a holder you have any discrepancies in the information you are advised to get them updated as soon as possible, otherwise further face authentication process might get tricky.

According to the report, the new rules will allow face authentication to be used for Aadhaar verification. Until now, face verification was prohibited in many government institutions.

How Will Face Authentication Work?

Verification by face can play a crucial role when Aadhaar verification using eyes or fingers is not possible. Facial verification allows the physical presence of an Aadhaar holder to be recorded in government data.

According to reports, with the help of these new rules, the presence of people at any event whose tickets have been booked in advance will become more secure than before. These rules are expected to be implemented soon by the Indian government. Under the new rules, Aadhaar holders will soon have the right to choose which information they wish to share on their Aadhaar card.

These new rules will also give Aadhaar card holders the right to share their photo and age-related info at will. These new rules have been implemented due to privacy concerns.
