New Delhi: The Bharat Jodo Yatra has taken a long break after visiting through several states. The yatra on Saturday entered the national capital where a grand ceremony were held at the Red Fort in Delhi.
The ‘padyatra’ enetred Delhi from Badarpur border after finishing its Haryana leg on December 24. After which, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was accompanied by a crowd of supporters in his way to the Lal Quila.

“The love that I have received from her, I am sharing the same with the country,” tweeted Rahul Gandhi, sharing a picture of with mother. Sonia Gandhi joined the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ for the second time as she first joined the march in Karnataka.
Traffic Snarled
The traffic in the national capital was disturbed due to the increasing number of partcipants in the march. After which, the Delhi Police issued traffic advisory to alert poeple so they can avoid the jammed routes.
Kamal Hasan Joins the Yatra
Calling himself a “son of the nation,” Actor Kamal Hasan joined the ‘padyatra.’ “I stood in front of the mirror and said to myself – this is the time when the country needs me the most. Then a voice came from inside me ‘Kamal… don’t help break India, help unite’.”
Kamal Hasan said, “Many people ask me why I am here. I am here as an Indian. My father was a Congressman. I had various ideologies and started my own political party but when it comes to the country, all political party lines have to blur. I blurred that line and came here.”
