Hardik Patel: A local count of Surrendranagar district of Gujarat has issued an arrest warrant against Bharatiya Janata party MLA Hardik Patel for not appearing before court in a old case. The case was registered in 2017 in which Hardik is accused of violating government order.
Patel had made a political speech in a village of Surrendranagar despite being barred from doing any public meeting ahead of 2017 Gujarat Assembly elections.

Additional chief justice magistrate D D shah issued the arrest warrant against hardik Patel for his failure to appear before court. In order, the court directed local police to arrest a BJP MLA and produce him before court.
The order was issued on February 02, 2023 and received by Dhrangadhra taluka Police station on February 11, based on it a First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against Hardik Patel and co-accused kaushik patel.
