A CRPF jawan killed himself at duty in Jagdalpur camp

New Delhi: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan posted in Jagdalpur camp in Bargarh district in Odisha reportedly shot himself. New Delhi: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan posted in Jagdalpur camp in Bargarh district in Odisha reportedly shot himself. The jawan was identified as Prasannajit Pal, a resident of West Bengal.

According to BargarhPolice, Pal was on night duty at a security tower and allegedly shot himself using his service revolver around midnight.

Following the incident, Prasannajit Pal was rushed to Sub-Division Hospital, where he was declared dead. The body has been sent for post-mortem.

According to information, The soldier had returned to duty two days back, he might have taken the step due to some dispute in the family.
