Raipur Steel Plant Tragedy: 5 Dead, Several Injured After Structure Collapse

The incident occurred at the plant of Godavari Ispat Ltd in the Siltara area on the outskirts of the city, a senior police official confirmed. According to a senior official, rescue efforts began promptly after the collapse.

“Soon after being alerted about it, a police team was sent to the spot, and a rescue operation was launched. As per preliminary information, five workers were killed and five others sustained injuries,” he said.

All injured workers were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Updates will be provided as the incident unfolds.
