According to the Uttarakhand State Disaster Management Authority (USDMA), heavy overnight rains damaged nearly half a dozen houses in Pausari gram panchayat of Kapkot area of ​​Bageshwar district, leaving two people dead, three missing and one injured. The deceased have been identified as Basanti Devi and Bachuli Devi, while Basanti Devi’s son Pawan was rescued in an injured condition. Her husband Ramesh Chandra Joshi and Girish and Puran Joshi, all residents of Pausari, are also missing, as reported by NDTV.

A landslide buried a house and a cowshed in Mopata village of Chamoli district, killing a couple and injuring a person, said Chief Development Officer Abhishek Tripathi.
