In a tragic incident, a 35-year-old woman lost her life when a rain-soaked wall fell on her in Karnataka’s Bengaluru, the police said on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Shashikala, who was employed with a private company. This was the first rain-related casualty reported in Bengaluru. The city registered 104 mm rainfall in the last 24 hours.
The IT City experienced severe waterlogging on Sunday due to intense rainfall, prompting Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to express his deep concern over the situation.
