New Delhi: As many as 31 Bills may be taken up during the Monsoon Session of the Parliament that is scheduled to begin on Thursday (July 20), reported the news agency ANI.

Earlier in the day, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh chaired an all-party meeting.

The meeting aimed to chalk out the strategy to ensure the smooth functioning of the monsoon session of Parliament. The all party meeting is convened on the directions of the central government.

The Opposition parties will notify the government in power, regarding the issues that they intend to raise during the upcoming session and the government will also prepare its legislative agenda to discuss in the session.

Meanwhile, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi also urged all parties to contribute towards productive discussions on legislative business and other items during the 17-day monsoon session.

The upcoming Monsoon session of Parliament is scheduled to take place in the old Parliament building. This session holds significance as various important matters are expected to be discussed and debated.
