A 30-year-old man was detained in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer on Wednesday on suspicion of spying for Pakistan. The man was held by military intelligence and later handed over to the Kotwali police.
The man has been identified as Jivan Khan. He was apprehended from the Sankada area. He had previously worked in the Jaisalmer military area and was detained following a conversation on a Pakistani number. Today, he will be sent to the JIC for joint interrogation by all security agencies.

In May, Rajasthan Police had detained a government employee, Shakur Khan, on the allegations of spying, in Jaisalmer.
According to Jaisalmer Superintendent of Police (SP) Sudhir Chaudhary, Khan was undergoing interrogation.
SP Sudhir Chaudhary had said, "Shakur Khan, who is a government employee, has been detained and interrogation is being done…"
The police had previously appealed to the public for information regarding suspicious individuals in the area. Several people have been detained for questioning, and action has been taken against those found to be sending sensitive information across the border.
