Arunachal Pradesh: A 3.8 magnitude earthquake hit Dibang Valley in Arunachal Pradesh at 5.06 am on Sunday, May 18, the National Centre for Seismology (NCS) said. The NCS stated in an X post, “EQ of M: 3.8, On: 18/05/2025 05:06:33 IST, Lat: 29.03 N, Long: 95.78 E, Depth: 10 Km, Location: Dibang Valley, Arunachal Pradesh.” According to NCS, the tremors were felt at a depth of 10 kilometres in the Dibang Valley. There have been no immediate reports of major damage or casualties.
Earlier on May 17, an earthquake of magnitude 3.4 on the Richter scale jolted the adjacent area to Dibang valley at a depth of 12 kilometres. The quake’s epicentre was located at Latitude 28.78 N, and longitude 95.70 E.

Earthquake of magnitude 4.6 Strikes Indonesia
An earthquake of magnitude 4.6 struck the Northern Sumatra Region of Indonesia on Sunday, May 18, during the early hours. According to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS), the tremors occurred at 2.50 am (IST), with the epicentre located at a depth of 58 kilometres. There have been no immediate reports of major damage or casualties, authorities are monitoring the situation.
