Raigarh: A 27-year-old tribal woman was allegedly raped by six men in Raigarh district, Chhattisgarh, according to the police on Wednesday. The incident happened on Monday evening in a village under the Pusaur police station area when the woman was on her way to a local fair after celebrating the Rakshabandhan festival.

Victim’s Complaint Leads to FIR

The woman lodged a complaint on Tuesday, prompting the police to take swift action. According to her statement, a group of men intercepted her on the way and forcibly took her to the bank of a nearby pond, where she was sexually assaulted. Arrest of Six Accused

Former Chief Minister Calls for Immediate Action

Former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel expressed grave concern over the incident, demanding the immediate arrest and conviction of the culprits.
