27-Year-Old Man Killed In Delhi’s Khyala Over Sister’s Relationship Dispute

A group of three persons allegedly thrashed and stabbed a 27-year-old man to death in Delhi’s Khyala. The incident took place due to the man’s objection to the relationship of his sister with one of the accused.

Man was brutally thrashed and stabbed to death

According to PTI, the police said the victim has been identified as Ishmeet Singh and the accused have been identified as Anmol, Pritpal, and Piyush.  The police said that an altercation took place between Ishmeet and Anmol on May 19 which later turned into a fight. Anmol overpowered Ishmeet and started punching and kicking him brutally. During the fight, one of the accused attacked Ishmeet with a knife, causing serious injury.

Ishmeet’s family had opposed the relationship with Anmol

Ishmeet’s father took him to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The police said that Ishmeet’s family had reportedly opposed the relationship and warned Anmol to snap ties. Ishmeet had also talked about the issue with Anmol. 

The police have registered a case under sections of BNS and conducted raids to arrest the other accused in the case.

In a separate incident, the Crime Branch team of New Delhi Range, RK Puram, has apprehended Dr Devender Kumar Sharma, a parole jumper and convicted serial killer.

Sharma was convicted for life imprisonment in several cases of kidnapping-cum-murder of truck and taxi drivers and had jumped parole in August 2023, while serving his sentence in murder cases registered in Delhi and Rajasthan. He is a habitual parole jumper and previously jumped parole in 2020. He remained indulged in the kidney transplant racket with Dr Amit between 1998 to 2004 and confessed about 125 kidney transplants.

Devender Kumar Sharma was granted two months of parole

Devender Kumar Sharma has been absconding since August 3, 2023. He was granted two months of parole on June 9, 2023, in FIR No. 55/2004 u/s 302/365/392/201 IPC, PS Sarita Vihar, Delhi, but failed to surrender after the parole period and went into hiding. The police team conducted discreet inquiries in Aligarh, Jaipur, and Delhi.
