A 20-year-old visitor from Delhi, Harish Tanwar, was allegedly killed by three individuals at Baga beach in Goa after he resisted their robbery attempt, police reported on Wednesday.
The tragic incident occurred on Sunday night at a secluded spot on Baga beach in North Goa district. According to an official from the Calangute police station, the three accused attempted to rob Tanwar’s bag. When he resisted, one of the attackers stabbed him, resulting in his death on the spot during the ensuing scuffle.
Discovery and Arrest of Suspects
The victim’s body was discovered at Baga beach on Monday morning. Following investigations, the police arrested the three accused—Sahil Kumar, Noor Khan, and Sunil Vishwakarma—on Tuesday. The suspects have reportedly confessed to the crime.

Background of the Accused
Noor Khan, originally from Uttar Pradesh, resided in the Parra area of Goa and worked as a tailor in the nearby village of Calangute. Sahil Kumar, a native of Uttarakhand, and Sunil Vishwakarma, who hails from Nepal, had prior involvement in petty thefts, according to the police. The three accused were presented before the court of Judicial Magistrate First Class in Mapusa on Tuesday evening, where they were remanded to four-day judicial custody.
