2 Injured, Accused Fled Spot: Shootout At Bengaluru Jewellery Shop

In Bengaluru's Kodigehalli, two assailants on motorcycles shot at Laxmi Jewellers during a robbery attempt

Two individuals sustained injuries following an incident where two individuals on motorcycles fired shots in the Kodigehalli locality of Bengaluru on Thursday. The event occurred around 11 am today when two assailants on bikes attempted to carry out a robbery at Laxmi Jewellers in Devinagar.

Upon encountering resistance from the owner of the jewellery store regarding handing over the money, the culprits resorted to gunfire, resulting in injuries to both the owner and a staff member.

According to the police, a total of three rounds were discharged during the incident, and it is believed that the suspects were hired with the intention of assassinating the owner of the jewellery store. Despite the altercation, no evidence of theft has been found within the jewellery shop at this time.

The perpetrators hastily fled the scene following the gunfire, abandoning the firearm they had used. Video footage depicted the shooters making their escape on a motorcycle. Presently, law enforcement authorities are present at the location, scrutinizing the CCTV footage from the vicinity. Meanwhile, Appuram and Anandram, the individuals injured in the shooting, have been admitted to the hospital for medical treatment.
