New Delhi: Two suspicious boats have been found on the sea shore of Shrivardhan in Maharashtra.
The police have recovered AK 47 along with bullets. The beach lies in the Raigarh district adjacent to Mumbai.

High alert has been declared in the district of Raigarh. According to the information, gelatin has been found from the boat. Police is investigating the matter and the origin and purpose of the suspicious boats recovered.
Local MP and MLA demands ATS investigation
Raigad MP Sunil Tatkare has asked the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) to handle the matter. Local MLA Aditi Tatkare also asked the ATS to handle the matter. Shrivardhan (Raigad) MLA Aditi Tatkare said that according to preliminary information some boats carrying arms and documents have been found at Harihareshwar and Bharadkhol in Shrivardhan of Raigad. The local police is investigating. I have demanded from CM and Deputy CM that ATS or state agency’s special team should be appointed immediately.
The boat is registered in Oman
ATS chief Vineet Agarwal said that they are looking at the matter from a terrorist angle. “We are also looking at it from a terrorist angle,” he said. Preliminary investigation revealed that the boat was registered in Oman.
ATS chief Vineet Agarwal further said, “It appears to be an official boat which we are investigating. It can also be for the purpose of terrorism. It could be from another country. We are probing all angles.”
