New Delhi: A mild earthquake struck the nation’s capital on Tuesday at 09:30 pm. The magnitude of the earthquake was 2.5. According to the National Center for Seismology, the epicentre was 8 kilometres west of New Delhi at a depth of 5 kilometres. Tremors from the earthquake were felt throughout the city.

The mild quake comes just a few weeks after major earthquake vibrations were recorded across the NCR region on November 12 in Delhi, Noida, Faridabad, Gurugram, and other locations. At the time, tremors were also felt in areas of Uttar Pradesh and other states.
The magnitude of the earthquake was 5.4 on the Richter scale. The centre was located in Nepal, 212 kilometres southeast of Joshimath, Uttarakhand, at a depth of 10 kilometres.
