An 18-year-old woman supposedly committed suicide after her partner was murdered in Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. The police claimed that the woman ingested poison. Ankita, a resident of the Chilkana region of the district, was discovered dead in her residence on Saturday with an empty pesticide pouch close by, said Additional Superintendent of Police (Dehat) Sagar Jain.
The woman's partner, 22-year-old Mahil, was murdered on Friday, and his family has accused Ankita's relatives of the murder. They held a rally and demanded immediate action. Jain stated that the police have taken Ankita's two minor brothers into custody. The woman's corpse has been sent for autopsy, and a more thorough investigation has commenced, according to police.

Jharkhand Woman Kills Boyfriend After Argument

According to police reports, 34-year-old Md Muntajir, originally from Sasang village in the Latehar district, had gone to meet his girlfriend Shabbu Praveen alias Noorjahan on Thursday evening in Lamta village which lies under the jurisdiction of Lawalong police station.
The meeting, however, heated up, and an argument started, resulting in Noorjahan stabbing Muntajir in a fight regarding their marriage. Muntajir was taken to Chatra Sadar Hospital immediately for treatment and was referred to RIMS-Ranchi after that. He later died according to the police.
Noorjahan was arrested, and the knife used in the attack was seized.
“Before his death, the victim provided a statement, based on which an FIR was lodged. The accused was sent to judicial custody by a court on Friday," Lawalong police station’s in-charge Prashant Mishra told PTI.
