At least 18 people were killed, and over 15 injured when a sleeper bus collided with a milk tanker on the Lucknow-Agra expressway in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh, on Wednesday morning.
The incident occurred near Gadha village when a bus traveling from Bihar to Delhi collided with a tanker while attempting to overtake, causing the bus to overturn.

Officials reported that the bus was mostly carrying migrant workers. All injured individuals have been transported to nearby hospitals for treatment, with three out of the 17 in critical condition. The identities of the deceased are yet to be confirmed.
Local authorities have initiated a rescue operation, and further details are awaited.

Earlier this year, eight people died and over 20 were injured when a speeding truck collided head-on with a bus in Unnao, tearing through one of its sides. The accident occurred in April near Jamaldipur village on Hardoi-Unnao Road in Safipur. The injured were taken to Unnao district hospital and LLR Hospital in Kanpur. According to the police, the bus had 35 passengers; eight were killed, and 20 were injured. The bus driver fled the scene, but the truck driver was arrested.
