15 Injured As ‘Drunk’ Driver Goes On Rampage In SUV, Stopped By Bad Road

The incident occurred on Friday night, causing widespread panic in the town. According to police, the SUV initially collided with three individuals near the municipal office. While attempting to escape, it injured three more people at Capital Point. The vehicle then went on to hit three motorbikes and several e-rickshaws on Trunk Road, near the radio station.

During the rampage, people began pursuing the SUV on their two-wheelers. The vehicle finally came to a halt at Tennis Club Point because it couldn’t advance due to the poor road conditions. Police arrived at the scene and detained both the car and its driver.

A police officer reported that several bottles of liquor were discovered in the vehicle.
