15 Injured As ‘Drunk’ Driver Goes On Rampage In SUV, Stopped By Bad Road

In Silchar, Assam, fifteen people were injured when an allegedly drunk man went on a rampage with his SUV, hitting pedestrians, vehicles, and other objects before stopping due to poor road conditions.

Assam: In Silchar, Assam, fifteen individuals were hurt when an allegedly intoxicated man went on a rampage with his SUV, crashing into pedestrians, vehicles, and other obstacles before eventually stopping due to poor road conditions, according to police reports on Saturday.

The incident occurred on Friday night, causing widespread panic in the town. According to police, the SUV initially collided with three individuals near the municipal office. While attempting to escape, it injured three more people at Capital Point. The vehicle then went on to hit three motorbikes and several e-rickshaws on Trunk Road, near the radio station.

During the rampage, people began pursuing the SUV on their two-wheelers. The vehicle finally came to a halt at Tennis Club Point because it couldn’t advance due to the poor road conditions. Police arrived at the scene and detained both the car and its driver.

A police officer reported that several bottles of liquor were discovered in the vehicle.
