New Delhi: As many as 14 opposition parties on Friday moved to Supreme Court alleging the arbitrary use of union investigation agencies against leaders of opposition parties. The supreme court gave its consent to list the case for hearing on April 5. 

Senior Advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi’s submitted the matter before a bench led by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud. Singhvi will appear for parties such as INC, AAP, DMK, RJD, Bharat Rashtra Samiti, and the Trinamool congress. 

The CJI-led bench accepted the request and it will be heard on April 5.

All the opposition parties have been vocal against CBI and ED’s action against leaders of opposition parties.
