Uttar Pradesh is all set to hold the country’s biggest fair in Prayagraj that is Maha Kumbh. It will begin from January 13, 2025 and will end on February 26, 2025.
Many saints are reaching to attend the fair in Prayagraj. The Sangam city welcomed another saint. A 13-year old dalit girl Rakhi Dhakre left her family and took a strong decision of becoming a ‘Sannyasini’. She is now known as the Sannyasini Gauri Giri. The girl decided to reside with her guru.
Speaking to ANI, Guru of Sannyasini Gauri Giri, Mahant Kaushal Giri stated that, “Baba Giri is a challenging path. My child, you must understand, that you are not yet ready to take on this responsibility.” By replying to this girl stated that, “I will become a hermit.”
Speaking to ANI, Sannyasini Gauri Giri mentioned that, “I was 11 years old when I took Guru diksha. I took sanyas at the age of 13.”
She further stated that, “It was my childhood wish to take sanyas and become a saint but being the younger one, my family members did not listen to me. When I came to the fair of Maha Kumbh, I told Guru ji and he refused. At first he smiled and kept laughing and said that it is not an easy thing to become a saint. It is very difficult to become one. Not everyone can become one.”
As per media reports, the family dismissed her desire and given her at very early age.
Maha Kumbh is the biggest fair which is being celebrated after 12 years. Crores of Devotess visit here to attend this fair.
