YouTuber-actor Prajakta Koli has cancelled her trip to Nepal due to the ongoing protest in the country. She also extended her support towards her citizens of Nepal and called the incident ‘heartbreaking’ on her Instagram story. This comes against the backdrop of Nepal’s Gen Z protest, a widespread movement led by young people, primarily students, to demand accountability and transparency from the government.
Talking about the Nepal protests, Prajakta wrote on her Instagram story, “What happened in Nepal yesterday is truly heartbreaking. Any form of celebration at such a time feels inappropriate. My heart goes out to the families of those who have suffered. I was really looking forward to being there and meeting everyone, but now isn’t the right time. Hopefully, I’ll get to see you all very soon.”

Meanwhile, Prajakta’s co-star Rohit Saraf, who is from Nepal, also talked about the protests. He wrote, “To everyone in Nepal… my thoughts and prayers are with you. No struggle should come at the cost of innocent lives. Violence is never the answer. Hoping for dialogue, compassion, and peace.”
About The Protests In Nepal:
Talking about the protests, all airports in Nepal, including Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport, have been closed till 12 pm on Wednesday, according to airport authorities. Moreover, the Nepali Army has taken command inside and outside the airport to maintain security.
Prime Minister Oli tendered his resignation earlier in the day, a move confirmed by his secretariat. Local media reported that four ministers had already stepped down before Oli’s announcement. Following his departure, Oli’s exit is expected to set off political negotiations as parties try to form a new government.
This comes against the backdrop of Nepal’s Gen Z protest to demand accountability and transparency from the government. The protests began on September 8, 2025, in Kathmandu and other major cities, including Pokhara, Butwal, and Birgunj, after the government imposed a ban on major social media platforms, citing tax revenue and cybersecurity concerns.
