‘Would Do That In Season 2’: Ishaan Khatter Fuels The Royals Sequel Rumours

Following the release of Netflix's "The Royals," star Ishaan Khatter has sparked sequel speculation with a casual comment during a Filmfare interview.

Netflix’s romantic comedy drama The Royals, starring Bhumi Pednekar and Ishaan Khatter has sparked buzz among the fans with anticipation about the sequel following a comment from lead actor Ishaan Khatter. The show ended on an intriguing note, leaving fans with several unanswered questions and demand for a second season.

In an interview with Filmfare, the cast of The Royals spoke on their experiences, behind the scenes, and standout moments. Co-star Lisa Mishra (who portrays Nikki) joked that the only stunt left for his character was “launching out of a helicopter” to which Khatter quickly responded with, “I would do that in Season 2.”

As of now, Netflix has made no official conformation but the cliffhanger finale and strong fan reception suggest that the sequel will make a comeback.

Directed by Priyanka Ghose and Nupur Asthana, produced by Pritish Nandy Communications and written by Neha Veena Sharma, it stars veteran actress Zeenat Aman, Chunky Panday, Milind Soman, Sakshi Tanwar, Nora Fatehi, Dino Morea, and many more.

The series follows Khatter as Aviraaj Singh, a reluctant modern-day prince who unexpectedly inherits the royal throne of Morpur, while Pednekar plays Sophia Kanmani Shekhar, an ambitious CEO of a luxury homestay startup. Their unlikely partnership forms when they collaborate to transform Morpur’s struggling haveli into an upscale B&B, navigating professional challenges, family tensions, and unexpected romantic feelings along the way.
