After the news came out that actor Paresh Rawal is no longer part of the much-awaited Hera Pheri 3, fans began sharing their ideas on who could play the role of Babu Bhaiya in the comedy film directed by Priyadarshan. Many people suggested actor Pankaj Tripathi as a good choice for the role. But will he take Paresh Rawal’s place? Here’s what Pankaj said in a recent interview.
In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, the actor from Gangs of Wasseypur was asked about people on social media who want him to be in Hera Pheri 3.
He said, “That is something I have also heard and read. I don’t believe in it. Paresh ji is an amazing actor. I am zero in front of him. I respect him a lot. I don’t think I am the right person for the role.“
Paresh Rawal Leaves Hera Pheri 3: What Happened?
On Tuesday, HT City reported that actor Akshay Kumar, through his production company Cape of Good Films, sent a legal notice to Paresh Rawal. The notice asked for ₹25 crores in damages because Paresh left the film Hera Pheri 3 after signing a contract and starting the shoot. They said his behavior was unprofessional.
On Sunday, Paresh wrote on X (formerly Twitter) to say he did not quit the film because of creative differences with the director Priyadarshan. He wrote, “I wish to put it on record that my decision to step away from Hera Pheri 3 was not due to creative differences. I REITERATE THAT THERE ARE NO CREATIVE DISAGREEMENTS WITH THE FILMMAKER. I hold immense love, respect, and faith in Mr Priyadarshan, the film’s director.”
What’s Next for Pankaj Tripathi?
Pankaj Tripathi will soon appear in Criminal Justice 4. The show also stars Barkha Singh, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Surveen Chawla, Mita Vasisht, Asha Negi, Shweta Basu Prasad, and Khushboo Atre. It has a big group of actors. The show will start streaming on May 29 on JioHotstar.
