Actor Vicky Kaushal got deeply emotional while filming a scene for Chhaava, as revealed by his co-star Vijay Vikram Singh. In an interview with India Today, Vijay shared that during a crucial scene, Vicky broke down in tears, leading to multiple retakes.
The Scene That Left Vicky In Tears
The emotional moment occurred while filming the scene where Sambhaji Maharaj, Vicky’s character, was declared the next Chhatrapati. Vijay, who plays Peshwa Neelopant in the film, recalled, “There was a shot where Vicky Kaushal was declared the next Chhatrapati. He walked ahead, followed by Ashutosh Rana, Vineet Kumar, and me. We had to retake the shot three times because midway through, Vicky started crying. He was overwhelmed by the weight of stepping into Sambhaji Maharaj’s shoes.”
Vicky’s Dedication To His Role
Vijay praised Vicky’s commitment to his character, stating that he completely immersed himself in the role. “He truly felt the loss of his father and the responsibility he had to take on. His dedication was visible even in his walk- he embodied Sambhaji Maharaj in every way,” he added.
Despite not being from a Marathi background, Vicky Kaushal mastered the dialect with precision. Vijay noted that the actor rehearsed every dialogue carefully to ensure accurate pronunciation.
