Why Parth Samthaan Has Left CID Season 2 As Shivaji Satam’s ACP Pradyuman Returns? Actor Reveals

Parth Samthaan played the role of ACP Ayushmaan in CID Season 2. The show airs on Sony TV channel every Saturday and Sunday. It is also available to watch on Netflix.

The makers of CID Season 2 shocked the viewers by killing ACP Pradhyman’s character and introducing Parth Samthaan as ACP Ayushmaan. However, Parth will now exit the show with the return of Shivaji Satam as Pradhyman. In an interview with Pinkvilla, the actor expressed his delight on being part of a cult show like CID and revealed the reason of his exit.

Parth revealed that he was supposed to be a part of CID Season 2 for a few episodes and only had a guest appearance. He shared, “It’s been an absolute pleasure to be a part of a cult show like CID, even if it’s just for a brief period. I was on board for a few episodes only, a guest appearance, but later got extended for a couple of months.”

He further added, “Initially, we couldn’t give any confirmation on the same as it would have spoiled the excitement of the show. And now with Shivaji Sir’s return, that thrilling twist about the mole will be unfolded very soon.”

CID was earlier in the news for its silent episode. Talking about shooting a silent episode for the first time, Dayanand Shetty called it creatively fulfilling and challenging. He told India Today, “Shooting a silent episode was both challenging and creatively fulfilling. We had to rely purely on expressions, body language, and the unspoken bond our team shares on screen and off. No words, just instinct — just raw emotion. And that’s what makes this episode so powerful.”

Aditya Srivastava further called filming this episode a ‘completely new experience’. He said, “As an actor, I’ve always believed that the true power of storytelling lies in the ability to evoke emotion without relying on words. And this Sunday’s silent episode of CID pushes that belief to its absolute limit. It’s a completely new experience for us as actors and for the audience. I hope this episode connects with them, not just as a thriller, but as something that stays with them even after.”

CID Season 2 airs on Sony TV channel every Saturday and Sunday. It is also available to watch on Netflix.
