The film ‘Dunki’ starring Shah Rukh Khan is now in the theatres , and fans have high expectations from it. The response to the film suggests that it could mark a new milestone in Shah Rukh Khan’s career. Apart from SRK’s performance, Vicky Kaushal’s cameo is receiving a lot of praise. The film’s reception indicates that it has the potential to break box office records soon.
Amid the festivities, bollywood singer Shaan clarified why the duet “Durr Kahi Durr” with Shreya Ghoshal in the film Dunki, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee Pannu, was dropped by filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani. According to Shaan, although he and Shreya recorded the song, which was also shot in Kashmir, it didn’t make it into the final edit of the movie.
Taking to X, he wrote, “Good Morning !!! Aaj #Dunki Day hai … im super excited!! CAN’T WAIT TO SEE IT !! I’m sure Everyone is Going to love the Movie !!! I just want to clear the air about why my song was not part of the film .. the song, a beautiful breezy duet ( with @shreyaghoshal) “Durr kahi Durr” was recorded and also picturised in Kashmir .. but on the edit table .. it was #RajuHirani ‘s call to drop the song .. (after a lot of contemplation.. ).”

‘Dunki’ marks the inaugural collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and director Rajkumar Hirani. With pivotal roles portrayed by Vicky Kaushal, Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani, and others, the film, co-scripted by Abhijat Joshi, Rajkumar Hirani, and Kanika Dhillon, hit theaters on December 21.
