Sunjay Kapur, the late industrialist and actress Karisma Kapoor’s ex-husband, passed away in June 2025 at the age of 53. His sudden demise brought huge grief to the family and close friends. Amid the grief of dealing with his loss, Sunjay Kapur’s Rs 30 thousand crore estate has become a topic of controversy in his family. According to the latest reports, Karisma Kapoor’s children, Samaira and Kiaan, have approached the Delhi High Court and made some shocking allegations against their stepmother, Priya Sachdev.
Reason Behind Karisma Kapoor’s Kids Approaching Delhi HC Over Sunjay Kapur’s Property:
According to Bar & Bench, Karisma Kapoor’s kids have alleged that Priya forged Sunjay’s will. Earlier, Sunjay’s mother, Rani Kapur, reportedly claimed that she was made to sign some papers while she was still grieving the sudden death of her son. In a suit filed by Samaira and Kiaan, the will is allegedly illegal. They claimed that their late father’s will was forged and fabricated.
The reports also claim that the defendants in the lawsuit are Priya Kapur, her son, Rani Kapur and the executor of the will Shradha Suri Marwah. In their plea to the court, the children sought action for being wrongfully excluded from their father Sunjay’s will.
Claims By Other Family Members:
Earlier, Sunjay Kapur’s sister Mandhira also said that her mother was forced to sign some papers. While speaking to Republic, she revealed, “What papers are they not showing us that they’d gotten signed in this 13-day period that they’ve taken over? My mother was made to sign papers behind locked doors. And this wasn’t once, but twice.”
“The bottom line is she signed some papers during the mourning period. My mother was in deep grief. She came to me and said, ‘I don’t know what papers I’ve signed. And since then, we’ve been asking and getting no response. So, what are you hiding from us? I think this will all unfold at some point, and the truth will come out,” she added.
