Back-to-back movies are being released, yet the entire populace doesn’t seem to be satisfied with any of them. You too are a spectator. Don’t you agree with the aforementioned? Of course, you do! So, to find answers to our whys and wherefores, we have the eminent film producer, Akshay Aggarwal. He is known for his merit and devotion to making a project.
The producer has been living in the lustrous walls of Bollywood for over decades and thus knows a thing or two about these shifts that happen in the entertainment world. If you ask Akshay Aggarwal, according to him, the audience at the cinema is the most important aspect of filmmaking and they have a lot to do with how films are made.
Akshay says, “The consumers of cinema have changed and this new audience is very vigilant about their entertainment. They are paying attention to the stories, screenplays, VFX, costumes, and the process of how films are made. There has definitely been a change in the mindset of the audience, and they understand that films are more than the iconic cast and quirky catchphrase.”
The producer’s words are true and influential. Akshay Aggarwal also asserted that stories have always been the foundation of a successful film. And it’s the one thing that several filmmakers compromise on, thus being unguarded to the censure and indignant comments of viewers.
And where is this shift coming from? Well, it’s all because of social media and how people are making sense of it today. Well, Akshay Aggarwal too agrees that it has some part to play in this criticism game. “Social media platforms serving as discussion forums have allowed these audiences to share their views openly. Thus, even passive minds become observant of the things that would otherwise be overlooked.”
Akshay has been producing films and other entertainment projects for a long time. Some of his work includes films like Suswagatam Khushamdeed, starring Pulkit Samrat and Izabelle Kaif. He is also a director of The Grub Fest and has worked with various international artists like TYGA, David Guetta, Black Coffee, and ARTBAT. Akshay has several upcoming projects which he will unveil gradually.
“Long story short, the audience cannot be fooled anymore and filmmakers should pay attention to every aspect of a movie. From its story to the setting,” Akshay Aggarwal lastly added.
