Yu Menglong, a popular Chinese actor, singer and filmmaker, passed away on September 11. He was only 37. His agency confirmed the heartbreaking news of his sudden demise and revealed that he died after falling from a building. Fans are mourning the loss of Yu Menglong as they remember his work and contributions to Chinese cinema.
Who Was Yu Menglong?
Yu Menglong started his career in showbiz in 2007 by participating in SMG’s My Show! My Style!. He later joined Hunan TV’s Super Boy. In 2011, he made his acting debut in the short film ‘The Little Prince’.
He started gaining popularity in 2015 after starring in the historical web drama ‘Go Princess Go’. He became more popular with other shows like ‘Eternal Love’, ‘Xuan-Yuan Sword: Han Cloud’, ‘Legend Of The White Snake’, ‘Unstoppable Youth’, ‘The Love Last Two Minds’ and many more.
Menglong also remained focused on his singing career and released his album ‘Toy’ in 2015.
About Yu Menglong’s Death:
Confirming Yu Menglong’s death, his agency said in a statement, “With unbearable sorrow, we announce that our beloved Menglong fell to his death on Sept 11. Police have ruled out any criminality. We hope he rests in peace and his loved ones remain strong.”
The agency only confirmed Yu Menglong’s death after some paparazzi started posting about it. One person wrote, “I got a tip this morning saying Yu Menglong has passed away after falling off a building in Beijing. When I went to the neighbourhood where the incident occurred, I saw that the window on the 5th floor of the building was broken, just like what the tip said. After that, I interviewed a staff member in the neighbourhood, and they confirmed the person who passed away after falling off a building was indeed male star Yu Menglong. The incident happened at 5 am on the 11th. Yu Menglong fell off the 5th floor and died instantly after hitting the concrete floor.”
