Veteran actor Vivek Lagoo passed away on June 19 at the age of 74. His funeral will take place on June 20 at the Oshiwara crematorium in Mumbai. For the unversed, Vivek was married to popular Reema Lagoo but the couple separated a few years later. They have a daughter Mrunmayee Lagoo Waikul, who is also a well-established name in the film industry.
Who Was Vivek Lagoo?
Vivek Lagoo was a renowned name in the Marathi theatre and worked in several popular movies and television shows. He worked in popular projects like He Man Bawre, Welcome Zindagi, What About Savarkar, Ugly, Eka Lagnachi Dusri Goshta, Bhagan Bhaag and many more.
Maharashtra Minister Ashish Shelar also paid tribute to him and remembered his work. He wrote on X, “Soulful Tribute! The news of the demise of actor Vivek Lagoo is extremely sad. With his passing, Marathi theatre and film industry has lost a smiling, alert and sensitive personality. His strong performance style on stage, his light and touching roles on television, and his light-hearted comedy on occasions have made him a permanent place in the hearts of fans. May God rest his soul in peace and give his family the strength to bear this loss, this is our prayer.”

Vivek Lagoo’s daughter paid a heartfelt tribute to him and shared a picture with him. She wrote on Instagram, “We fought together long and hard but now it’s time to say good bye with love and gratitude. MY DAD! My best friend, my guide, my number one fan and the voice in my head… I will miss you… the best dad a girl can have.”
