Kannada filmmaker SS David passed away after suffering a heart attack. He was 55. As per reports, he collapsed while he was returning home from a medical shop. He was immediately rushed to a private hospital but was declared dead.
Who Was SS David?
SS David was regarded as a celebrated director in the Kannada film industry. He made some hit movies like ‘Jai Hindi’ (1998) and ‘Supari’ (2000), and had a huge impact on the industry in the 90s and the 2000s.
He wrote scripts for several popular movies like Police Story (1996), Hai Bangalore (1997), Dhairya (1997), Agni IPS (1997), Simhada Mari (1997), Independence Day (2000), Thirupathi (2006), Mandya (2006), and Police Story 2 (2007).
His sudden demise is a big shock to the Kannada cinema.
David’s sister requested that the final rites be carried out locally. His mortal remains were later moved to Victoria Hospital in Bengaluru.
Several fans paid tribute to the late filmmaker by remembering his work.
