British actor Simon Fisher-Becker passed away on March 9 at the age of 63. The news of his demise was confirmed by his agent Kim Barry and his husband Tony also shared this heartbreaking news on Facebook. For the unversed, Simon worked in several memorable television shows and movies throughout his career.
Who Was Simon Fisher-Becker?
Simon is well known for playing the role of Fat Friar in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, which is the first film in the franchise. He also gained popularity for playing the role of Dorium Maldova, in Doctor Who Season 5 and 6.
He has worked in a bunch of television shows including An Ungentlemanly Act, One Foot In The Grave, Love Soup, Afterlife, Getting On, Waterside, Puppy Love and more. Simon also starred in many movies like Arrivederci Millwall, Beg, Sweet Thing, Coveted Desires and others.
