Ace Frehley, legendary American musician, passed away on Thursday at the age of 74. As per reports, he was on life support after suffering a brain bleed. The news of his demise was confirmed by his family, who issued an official statement for fans. His family revealed that the musician was surrounded by his loved ones at the time of his passing.
Who was Ace Frehley?
Ace Frehley was a member of the popular rock band ‘Kiss’ and served as its original lead guitarist and occasional lead vocalist. The band was formed in 1973, and Frehley left it in 1982. He formed his own band, named Frehley’s Comet and released two albums. He invented the persona of The Spaceman via his performances.
In 2011, he released his autobiography titled ‘No Regrets – A Rock ‘N’ Roll Memoir’, which was co-authored by Joe Layden and John Ostrosky.
The official X page of his band ‘Kiss’ penned a note for fans and expressed their grief. “We are devastated by the passing of Ace Frehley. He was an essential and irreplaceable rock soldier during some of the most formative foundational chapters of the band and its history. He is and will always be a part of KISS’s legacy. Our thoughts are with Jeanette, Monique and all those who loved him, including our fans around the world,” the statement read.

According to Rolling Stone, Ace Frehley said in a statement, “We are completely devastated and heartbroken. In his last moments, we were fortunate enough to have been able to surround him with loving, caring, peaceful words, thoughts, prayers and intentions as he left this earth. We cherish all of his finest memories, his laughter, and celebrate his strengths and kindness that he bestowed upon others. The magnitude of his passing is of epic proportions, and beyond comprehension. Reflecting on all of his incredible life achievements, Ace’s memory will continue to live on forever!”
