This happened after Mumbai police registered a case against an anonymous man who claimed to be from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and threatened Salman with severe consequences if the extortion demands were not met. “Don’t take it lightly, if Salman Khan wants to stay alive and wants to end the enmity with Lawrence Bishnoi, then he will have to pay ₹ 5 crore. If the money is not given, Salman Khan’s condition will be worse than Baba Siddique’s,” the message read.

After the police started investigating the case, they received another message from the same number on October 21. The message stated that it was “sent by mistake.” When the officials traced the location of the SIM card used to send the aforementioned message, they found it to be in Jharkhand. A team was sent to the location. Sheikh’s phone was also confiscated after is arrest.

Background of the case

Salman has been in trouble after the assassination of his close friend and NCP leader Baba Siddique, who was shot dead outside his son’s office in Mumbai. After the brutal attack, a member of the Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for it and threatened anyone who tries to protect Salman.

Salman has been targeted by Lawrence Bishnoi ever since he was accused of killing blackbucks, which are considered sacred by the Bishnoi community.

Salman resumes work

Amid all the threats, Salman has resumed his work and was recently spotted on the sets of Bigg Boss 18. He shot the weekend war episode surrounded by 60 security officials, who guarded him throughout. Strict security measures were taken to prevent any outsiders from entering the reality show’s set. Not only that, there are reports that Salman has also shot for his cameo in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again. The film is scheduled to release on November 1, and Salman’s cameo has already created a lot of buzz for the multi-starrer.
