Malayalam actor Vincy Aloshious grabbed the headlines after she alleged that her male co-star misbehaved with her and used drugs on film set. Later, she filed formal complaints against actor Shine Tom Chacko with the Internal Complaints Committee of the film as well as the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA).
Who is Vincy Aloshious?
Vincy Aloshious is a popular Malayalam actress and started her career in 2018 with the talent hunt show ‘Nayika Nayakan’. She made her debut in film with the 2019 film ‘Vikruthi’ and received appreciation for her performance. Her other films include Kanakam Kaamini Kalaham, Bheemante Vazhi, Jana Gana Mana, Solamante Theneechakal, 1744 White Alto, Saudi Vellakka, Padmini, The Face of the Faceless, Pazhanjan Pranayam and Marivillin Gopurangal.
She gained immense appreciation for her titular role in Rekha, released in 2023. Vincy won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress and Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Malayalam for her stellar performance.
About The Controversy:
At first, Vincy posted a video on Instagram and alleged that one of her co-actors had consumed drugs on set and attempted to “misbehave” with her. She later filed an official complaint against him with the Film Chamber and the Internal Complaints Redressal Committee (ICC) in the cinema and the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA). She alleged that the actor misbehaved on the sets of the upcoming movie ‘Suthravakyam’.
After the complaint, the police did a major drug raid at a prominent hotel in Kochi. Shine Tom Chacko and his friends were allegedly seen fleeing the premises. A video also went viral in which Shine was allegedly seen escaping the hotel during the police drug raid. However, the police did not recover any narcotics during the raid. They believe that the actor might have got the information regarding the police raid and managed to evade the search just in time.

For the unversed, Shine was earlier involved in drug case as well and was arrested in 2015 along with four models for alleged possession of cocaine. In February 2025, they were acquitted by the Additional District and Sessions Court, Ernakulam.
