Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana is all set to tie the knot with music composer Palash Muchhal on November 23, sparking excitement among fans. The couple has been in the spotlight for their relationship, and Mandhana’s recent triumph at the 2025 ICC Women’s World, where Palash publicly celebrated her success. On Thursday, Mandhana announced her engagement to Palash through a choreographed Instagram video featuring her teammates Jemimah Rodrigues, Shreyanka Patil, Radha Yadav, and Arundhati Reddy.
Who is Palash Muchhal?
Born on 22 May 1995, Palash Muchhal is an Indian music composer, filmmaker, and trained classical singer. He is known for composing music for several Bollywood films like Dishkiyaoon and Ardh. He is the brother of Bollywood singer Palak Muchhal, making him the brother-in-law of music director Mithoon. He began his musical career in 2014 with his debut movie, Dishkiyaoon, which was released on March 28 of that year. He is known to be the youngest music composer/director in Bollywood, starting at 18.

He has composed music for films like Bhoothnath Returns, Dishkiyaoon, Amit Sahni Ki List. Some of his hit songs are “Party Toh Banti Hai” from Bhoothnath Returns, “Tu hi hai Aashiqui” from Dishkiyaoon and “What The Fark” from Amit Sahni Ki List. and “Musafir”. Interestingly, Palash has also tried his hands on acting and played Jhunkoo in ‘Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey’. The film is directed by Ashutosh Gowariker and features actors Abhishek Bachchan and Deepika Padukone. Palash has performed in TV shows like Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega and Shabhaash India where he showcased his talent of playing the keyboard with his head, chin and knee.
