Emraan Hashmi’s role in Ground Zero

Emraan Hashmi played Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey in Ground Zero, which is directed by Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar, produced by Ritesh Sidhwani & Farhan Akhtar, featuring Emraan Hashmi, Sai Tamhankar and Zoya Hussain. During the launch of Ground Zero, Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey narrated a lethal experience from his 2003 operation: “Amid heavy AK-47 fire, I was hit by multiple rounds. Thanks to the protection offered by my medal, most bullets were deflected — but one grazed me and remains lodged as a lasting reminder.”

Ground Zero’s director, Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar, said, “Aaj tak main kaafi achraj mein tha ke logon ko is baare mein pata nahi hai. Yeh Dubey ji ki kahani hai, jinko pyaar se hum NND kehte hain. Toh yeh BSF mein officer the, Kashmir mein posted the, woh 7–8 saal wahan pe rahe aur unko wahan terrorism ke baare mein jaankari hui.” (Until now, I was quite surprised that people didn’t know about this. This is the story of Dubey ji, whom we lovingly call NND. He was an officer in the BSF, posted in Kashmir. He stayed there for 7–8 years, and during that time, he gained deep knowledge about terrorism there.)

After the Kashmir terror attack, the movie Ground Zero has evoked a sense of patriotism in the audience. The film is getting loved by people as they are relating it to the ongoing circumstances in Kashmir.
