On October 7, 2023, Hamas launched an attack on Israel, killing 1,200 people and abducting 251. In response, Israel carried out a large counteroffensive in Gaza. According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, as reported by The Associated Press, more than 62,000 people have been killed, and around 156,230 others have been wounded.
