Telugu playback singer Kalpana Raghavendar, daughter of singer TS Raghavendra, was found unconscious at her home in Hyderabad and rushed to the hospital.
Playback singer Kalpana Raghavendar has been taken to the hospital after a suspected suicide attempt. According to Eenadu, she was found unconscious at her home in Hyderabad and is getting treatment. The security staff at her apartment became worried when her door was locked for two days. The resident’s association tried to contact her but didn’t get a reply. They also called her husband, but he was in Chennai and couldn’t reach Kalpana.
The association members called the police, who broke down the door to her home and found her unconscious. She was quickly taken to a private hospital in the city. Kalpana’s husband has come back from Chennai and said she is on ventilator support. Well-known people from the singing community have also visited her.
Who Is Kalpana Raghavendar?
Kalpana is the the daughter of singer TS Raghavendra and she has appeared on many singing reality shows over the years. She became famous when she won Star Singer in 2010. She started her career when she was just five years old and has recorded over 1,500 songs in different languages. She has worked with famous music composers and singers like MS Viswanathan, Ilaiyaraaja, A. Rahman, KV Mahadevan, SP Balasubrahmanyam, and KS Chithra.
Kalpana has also been a judge on different music reality shows and took part in Bigg Boss Telugu Season 1, hosted by Jr NTR. Some of her recent songs are “Kodi Parakura Kaalam,” “Penne Neeyum,” and “Thirupachi Arivaala.” Her friends and fellow singers, like Sunitha, visited her in the hospital but didn’t talk to the press.
