The police were alerted by the owner of the flat, who discovered Chowdary’s dead body after being contacted by friends. An investigation has been launched to determine the exact reason and situations surrounding his death. North Goa’s Superintendent of Police, Akshat Kaushal, confirmed that inquest proceedings have begun.

Chowdary’s Career In the Film Industry

K P Chowdary was born in Bonakal, Khammam district, and initially was a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering student. However, his career took a distinct turn when he entered the film industry. He made his mark as a producer in 2016 with the hit film Kabali, starring Rajinikanth, and later acquired the distribution rights for notable Telugu films like Sardar Gabbar Singh and Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, as well as the Tamil film Kanithan.

Legal Issues And Alleged Drug Involvement

Around June 2023, Chowdary faced legal trouble when he was arrested by Cyberabad police on charges of drug trafficking. Authorities claimed that he had been involved in the procurement of 100 sachets of cocaine from a Nigerian drug dealer in April 2023, shortly before his return from Goa. The arrest followed reports of significant business losses and raised concerns about his personal and professional challenges.

Chowdary’s tragic death comes as a shock to those who knew him both in the Tollywood industry and in Goa. While his time in the film industry was marked by connections to influential figures, his later life seemed shadowed by personal struggles.
