Indian actor Shah Rukh Khan was recently threatened by an unidentified man, who called at the landline number of Bandra Police Station at 1:20 pm on November 5, and demanded ransom of Rs 50 lakh. When Mumbai police traced the call, they found that the number has been registered in the name of Faizan Khan from Raipur.
We have now learned that the accused is a lawyer by profession and was arrested by local police immediately. Faizan was however released after thorough questioning.
In his statement, Ajay Kumar, CSP Civil, Raipur, shared the details and said, “Based on information from the Maharashtra Police, a search was conducted for Faizan Khan, who is a lawyer by profession. During interrogation, Faizan revealed that his phone was stolen on November 2, following which an unknown caller made threatening calls from his number. The Maharashtra Police are currently investigating the matter and will take further action.”
A First Information Report (FIR) has also been lodged at Bandra Police Station in Maharashtra, under sections 308(4) and 351(3)(4) of the BNS.

As informed by the local police, Faizan called and said, “Shah Rukh Mannat, Bandstand wala hai na. Usne agar mere ko 50 lakh nahi diye toh main usko maar daalunga”. When the police inquired about the person’s identity, he replied, “Wo matter nahi karta. Likhna hai toh mera naam Hindustani likho,” and disconnected the call abruptly.
This is not the first time Shah Rukh Khan has faced death threats. He got into a similar situation in 2023 after the success of his films Pathaan and Jawan. Therefore, the actor was provided additional security, including Y+ protection.
