Priyanka Chopra has embraced motherhood after welcoming her daughter Malti Marie in 2022 with her husband Nick Jonas. She keeps her fans updated about her new journey as a mother via social media by posting several heartwarming photos of her daughter. She recently shared adorable pictures with Nick and Malti in which the couple can be seen holding their daughter. Even though netizens are now praising this adorable family, Priyanka earlier faced severe trolling online for choosing to have her daughter via surrogacy.
In an earlier interview with British Vogue, Priyanka broke her silence after getting accused of ‘renting’ a womb and ‘outsourcing’ her pregnancy. She said, “I’ve developed a tough hide when people talk about me. But it’s so painful when they talk about my daughter. I’m like, ‘Keep her out of it.’ I know what it felt like to hold her little hands when they were trying to find her veins. So no, she’s not going to be gossip. I’ve been really protective of this chapter of my life with my daughter. Because it’s not about my life only. It’s hers too.”
While speaking to Elle magazine in another interview, the ‘Barfi’ star said that she was close to losing her daughter many times. She said, “She’s got me wrapped around her finger. I don’t even know how I’ll ever discipline her because I just don’t have it in me. I was so close to losing her so many times that she can get away with anything, and I just want to see her happy. I want her to be the happiest. She’s a super smiley, happy baby, and that’s all my goal is—to see her joyous. Every time she smiles, it lights up my world, and that’s all I want to do.”

Priyanka and Nick welcomed their daughter on January 15, 2022. Their daughter spent her first 100 days in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). The couple tied the knot in December 2018 at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
On the work front, Priyanka will be seen in the movies ‘The Bluff’ and ‘Heads Of State’. She has already started shooting for her series ‘Citadel Season 2’.
