Wednesday is one of the most popular shows on Netflix and will return with its most awaited second season in 2025. According to latest buzz, the makers have already began working on its third season even before the premiere of ‘Wednesday Season 2’. Meanwhile, Jenna Ortega will reprise the role of Wednesday Addams and its second season will began from the big cliffhanger.
According to a report by ProductionWeekly, Wednesday will return for its third season as the cast will reportedly return to Ireland in Fall 2025 to film again. Meanwhile, a report by What’s On Netflix claims that Wednesday Season 3 is currently under the development but the makers are using code name ‘Nightshade & Raven’.
This hints at its third season as Nightshade is the secret society in the show and Raven is shown as a supernatural ritual.
About Wednesday Season 2:
Apart from Jenna, Wednesday Season 2 will also star Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Georgie Farmer, Naomi J. Ogawa, Christina Ricci, and Moosa Mostafa. Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah Taylor are the new addition to the cast.
Talking about the new season, showrunners and executive producers Al Gough and Miles Millar said, “This season, Wednesday’s journey is darker and more complex as she navigates family, friends, new mysteries, and old adversaries, propelling her headlong into another year at Nevermore.”
“We look forward to exploring more Addams Family lore, and are excited to introduce an eclectic lineup of incredible new characters,” they added.
The first episode of Wednesday Season 2 is titled “Here We Woe Again.” It is written by Gough and Millar, and directed by Tim Burton. The official release date of the upcoming season has not been announced yet.
