Wednesday Season 2: Only Recap You Need To Read Before Watching Netflix’s New Show

After more than two years, ‘Wednesday’ has finally returned with its second season. Only four episodes have been released on Netflix, while the remaining episodes will be available on September 3, 2025. From murders to mysteries, a lot happened in the first season of ‘Wednesday’, and the new season will continue to maintain that thrill.

Before binging on ‘Wednesday Season 2, here is a quick reminder of what happened on the show before.

1. Wednesday Addams, a girl with psychic ability, is expelled from her school after she tries to kill her brother’s bullies. She is then enrolled on Nevermore Academy, a school for the outcasts, by her parents, Morticia and Gomez, who are alumni of the same school. Much to her dismay, Wednesday has to share her room with Enid, who is her complete opposite.
2. Wednesday tries to leave from Nevermore after escaping her court-ordered therapy session, but fails. He then meets Tyler, who is the son of Sheriff Galpin. Chaos arrives at Nevermore after a student named Rowan is killed by a monster in front of Wednesday. But she is shocked to find out that Rowan is alive the next day. He is revealed to be Principal Weems, who has shapeshifted into him.
3. On the other hand, Wednesday keeps getting visions from the past and future. She also gets visions of her ancestor, Goody Addams, who helps her to polish her psychic abilities and find the truth behind the murders. Her investigation leads to Xavier, who maintains his innocence but gets arrested.
4. Meanwhile, Wednesday’s father, Gomez, is also arrested for the murder of his old classmate, Garret Gates. He tells her that he was only covering up for Morticia, who had accidentally killed Garret. The mother-daughter duo dig Garret’s grave and finds out he was poisoned before being killed by Morticia. When they confront the Mayor, he reveals that Garret wanted to poison the entire school due to his father’s hate for outcasts. Gomez is finally released after the Mayor admits to covering up Garrett’s motive.
5. With the help of Tyler and Enid, Wednesday finds out that Garret’s younger sister, Laurel, might be alive and behind the murders. Through her visions, she is shocked to know Tyler is the monster and is helping Laurel, using a fake identity, to kill people.
