Actor Ranveer Singh received a special honour at the third edition of Red Sea Film Festival commenced in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia yesterday. He got this honour for his contribution to the Hindi cinema. Not only this, the ‘83’ actor got an opportunity to meet his ‘screen idol’ and Hollywood actor Johnny Depp.
Ranveer even mentioned and thanked Johnny in his acceptance speech. He said “Wow! One of my screen idols is in the house, ladies and gentlemen, Mr Johnny Depp. My good Sir, I’ve followed your work since Edward Scissorhands and What’s Eating Gilbert Grape. What an honor to be receiving this in your presence. Thank you for everything that you unknowingly taught me about the craft. Master of transformation, versatility, something that I am inspired by you.” The video of his acceptance speech has now gone viral on the Internet.

On the work front, Ranveer Singh last featured in ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ co-starring Alia Bhatt. The Karan Johar directorial received critical and commercial acclaim. He’ll next be seen in ‘Singham Again’ along with Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone among others.
