English pop singer Ed Sheeran has been making headlines lately after he was seen singing on the streets of India. He seems to be having a great time during his tour of the country. Indian playback singer Arijit Singh also joined him and was seen having lots of fun on the streets of Arijit’s hometown, Jiaganj, located in West Bengal.
The video of their scooter ride has quickly gone viral online. Ed Sheeran spent some memorable moments with Arijit, riding both scooters and boats. After the police in Bengaluru stopped Ed Sheeran from performing on the streets, he was spotted next spotted in West Bengal. Many local people were surprised to see Sheeran out without any security.

Ed Sheeran and Arijit Singh have become great friends since they performed together in London in September 2024. They took turns singing each other’s popular songs. After one of Sheeran’s concerts in Bengaluru, he visited Singh in his hometown of Jiaganj, West Bengal. It’s said that they spent nearly five hours there, enjoying boat rides and scootering around.
Before his concert in Bengaluru, Sheeran surprised fans with a pop-up performance on Church Street. However, the police interrupted him during the performance. Sheeran later explained that he had permission to perform there.
During the concert that night, he delighted the audience by singing ‘Chuttamalle,’ a Telugu song from the movie ‘Devara,’ alongside singer Shilpa Rao. Sheeran has already completed concerts in Hyderabad and Chennai, and he’s set to perform next in Shillong on February 12 and in Delhi-NCR on February 15.
